Glamour Shot Wednesday: The Happily Ever After Story of Sammy

As a rescue organization, we spend a lot of time talking about trying to get cats adopted and finding ways to help abandoned cats. But what about the story after the happy ending? That is just as important.

This is why this Glamour Shot Wednesday we’ve decided to focus on a happily ever after story: Sammy!

*Little disclaimer: Sammy was not adopted from the Cats in Tow organization, she is my personal rescue story. I found her, along with her sister Bailey, abandoned by her mother in my backyard. A great example of the cat overpopulation, this mama cat would have a new litter of kittens every year and then wander off for weeks, leaving her babies in danger of coyotes and starvation.

Luckily, we saved her and her sister from this fate and had their mama cat captured and placed in a rescue organization just like Cats in Tow šŸ™‚

Now Sammy is a princess in our home! She naps all day, has a never-ending supply of Fancy Feast, and is constantly showered with love. I can only imagine what would’ve happened to Sammy if we didn’t rescue her from that backyard. Would she have harbored dozens of babies like her mother? Would she have survived?

This is the power of adoption. You could be the difference between a backyard of coyotes and a life of love šŸ™‚
