Rita and her bunk mate Sushi were matted and flea-infested the day they reached the Shelter. One’s owner had died; the other a stray on the street. They looked at each other with sympatico! Unfortunately the E Valley is small, understaffed, and volunteers called out to all to find a placement for these 12 yr old seniors who were sweet and friendly. Two extensions; 1 day reprieve; and our LA connection Sue brought them to our attention. We couldn’t be responsible for their deaths when we had cage space. They arrived not looking so good and rather confused. Now they are resting in double cages hoping for their forever homes. Fully vetted & Microchipped thanks to East Valley and our rescue partner Sue and her friends. Come on down and visit with these great girls!
